Strong Enough to Serve (Gospel Life Series: Episode 18 of 19)

Jun 5, 2026    Kyle Windsor

Success. Influence. Recognition. Comfort.

Those are the things our culture tells us to pursue. We are constantly encouraged to build our platform, protect our interests, grow our audience, and make life work on our terms. The message is everywhere: focus on yourself first.

Romans 15 presents a radically different vision of life.

Instead of using our strength to get ahead, God calls us to use our strength to help others. Instead of making life all about our own goals, God calls us to live for something bigger than ourselves. Instead of demanding our own way, we are challenged to follow the example of Christ, who gave Himself for others.

Paul reminds us that spiritual maturity is not measured by how much freedom we have, how much knowledge we possess, or how successful we appear. It is measured by our willingness to serve others, advance the gospel, and trust God's direction even when His plans look different from our own.

In a world that celebrates self-promotion, Romans 15 calls us to self-sacrifice. In a culture obsessed with personal ambition, Romans 15 calls us to live on mission. In a time when anxiety is everywhere, Romans 15 points us to the God of hope and the God of peace.

Join us as we continue our Gospel Life series through the book of Romans and discover what real spiritual strength looks like.
